Hola! MMmm, this is SO GOOD! Please, have a seat, I'm glad you could have a cyber-lunch with me today. I hope you like great Mexican food, because this place is simply fantastic! Dos Reales is one of the nicest Mexican Food restaurants I've ever found, and it's located right here in Champaign. You know, it's kind of a surprising little restaurant too.
When it first opened, Dos Reales was stuffed into an ugly old Pizza Hut building, with almost no decor whatsoever--inside or outside. But it quickly became apparent that whatever money the owners had saved on decorating, they had instead spent on creating great recipes and hiring top-notch cooks. Because that's where this restaurant really shines--the high quality of its food.
Word of Dos Reales' delicious food spread through this area like wildfire, and soon business was very brisk. No one seemed to mind the restaurant's plain surroundings at all. They were always too busy enjoying the great food!
Then, about a year ago, the owners decided to completely renovate the place. They knocked out the entire front wall of the restaurant, effectively doubling its size, added a huge, new dining "Sun Room" with panoramic views of busy Prospect Avenue, and painted the building's interior and exterior walls with bright, happy colors. Construction went smoothly, and soon Dos Reales was turned it into an even more comfortable and cheerful place to visit (see below). Hmm, all this talking is making me hungry. Let's eat! *
